Amanda LaPergola, Theatre Artist
Amanda LaPergola is an actor and writer who lives in Astoria. She holds a BFA in music theatre from Shenandoah University and has studied at such venues as The Upright Citizen’s Brigade, The T. Schreiber Studio (both in New York) and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (London.) Amanda has sung Gilbert and Sullivan at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia, appeared in a national tour of Camelot with Candlewood Productions, directed the NYC Fringe mounting ofFive Things: A Webcomic In 3D, wrote, produced and acted in Two Noble Midsummer Nightsmen at The Bad Theater Fest, and most recently played the roles of Pompey and Marianna in the Roxy Regional Theatre’s production of Measure For Measure (Tennessee). She is a frequent performer at the award-winning Brick Theatre in Williamsburg where she has appeared in The Strategist (written by Ian W. Hill), MASS, Ich Liebe Jesus! (both by Robert Honeywell) and the ongoing monthly soap opera spoof It’s Getting Tired Mildred. This summer Amanda will begin filming for the independent horror feature The Moosehead Over The Mantel(Jessi Gotta/Bryan Enk, producers). Her writing credits include contributions to websites like HiLobrow, The Mary Sue, and Theatre Is Easy.

Amanda has interned with CWP under Scott Lilly and Bianca Garcia for the 2nd grade at PS 279 and with Nancy Volante for the 6th grade at PS 84. She is currently utilizing her TATIP training teaching an after school STEAM program at Bricks 4 Kidz.
