Valentine Lysikatos Carey has a passion for philanthropy and the arts and has previously worked with various nonprofits and theater organizations both professionally and on a volunteer capacity. Valentine earned a B.A. in Communications at Quinnipiac University, a M.A. in Humanities and Social Thought at New York University, and a J.D. at Georgetown University Law Center. Since graduating law school she has been an Associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. She is an avid photographer, reader and traveler and truly believes that art expands our horizons, shapes us as individuals and communities and can transcend language and borders. She is excited to join Community-Word Project as an associate board member and looks forward to supporting the students CWP works with and the organization in fulfilling its mission.
