Headshot of Katherine Lever

Katherine Lever

Katherine Lever is Manager, Business & Legal Affairs for WMX, a Division of Warner Music Group, where she specializes in working with WMX’s Global Brand Licensing and Artist and Fan Experiences departments. There she helps solidify new licensing opportunities for WMG’s frontline label artists, as well as helping to secure third party artists and their rights for VIP, touring, and merchandising.

Katherine graduated with her B.S. in Recording Industry (Music Business) from Middle Tennessee State University and worked in the Nashville area for a decade before moving to New York City.  She worked as the legal assistant to the Entertainment and Intellectual Property department at Meister, Seelig & Fein LLP, where she honed in her paralegal skills while focusing on music publishing and artist recording agreements. Katherine has been at WMG since 2016 where she has spent time across three separate divisions: Alternative Distribution Alliance, Arts Music & Ghostlight Records, and WMX, which has helped to expand her knowledge base across various aspects of the music industry.

Born and raised in South Carolina, Katherine comes from a family of musicians, who have played or taught everything from vocal performance and piano, to the oboe and the French horn. She spent her youth singing in various choirs, playing the guitar and painting. Having lived her life surrounded by the creative arts, Katherine has seen firsthand the value and effect that arts education can provide to young, creative minds and is excited to be part of the Community Word Project to help continue the transformation of lives through the arts.
