Julia Koch is a New York native and an Executive Assistant at Encompass Capital, an energy-focused investment firm in New York City. In her role, she supports the firm’s leadership and day-to-day operations. Her growing exposure to accounting and finance has also led her to pursue the educational requirements to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Julia graduated magna cum laude from Tulane University with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and International Development. Her academic experience included international study and service programs in Ecuador, India, and New Zealand, where she explored environmental conservation and community development. Prior to beginning her corporate career, Julia worked in education and environmental programming, experiences that strengthened her interest in supporting young people and their communities.
Julia has always valued the arts and believes that creative opportunities are an essential part of a well-rounded education. She is passionate about giving back to communities where students may have less access to these resources and is excited to help expand opportunities for young people to learn, create, and express themselves.
Julia lives in the Upper East Side and enjoys running, yoga, skiing, volleyball, gardening, and exploring New York City.
