Josh Kleinbaum is a digital strategist with decades of experience transforming legacy news organizations into 24-7 digital newsrooms. As the Vice President of Multiplatform Content for NBCU Local, Josh manages digital and multiplatform content across NBCU’s 41 owned television stations, including NBC and Telemundo stations and NBC Sports regional sports networks.
In his tenure at NBCU Local, Josh has consistently managed change. As the local stations transformed from traditional TV newsrooms to multiplatform news outlets, including TV, social, digital and streaming platforms, Josh helped them form their digital strategies. He founded an Equity in News Coverage task force that provides guidelines to stations to promote fairness and diversity in their news products. He oversees a Digital Innovation Team that has created award-winning digital series in both English and Spanish.
Josh received a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Michigan. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and three children, and is a die-hard fan of the New York Mets and University of Michigan sports.
