Doug is the founder of Cosmic Prep, a company that offers test preparation and college advising services to high school students. He has authored review books for the SAT, SHSAT, and Hunter College High School Entrance Exam, which are used in learning centers and schools nationwide.
Doug is a graduate of Georgetown University, where he received a B.A. in government and was a member of the Georgetown Orchestra, worked as a research assistant for a political science professor, and interned at a political consulting firm. He also interned for a producer, providing feedback on scripts of novels. He received a graduate certificate in college counseling from the University of San Diego and a master’s in Mind, Brain, and Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education. There, he took coursework in psychology and neuroscience, with a focus on applying the principles of cognitive science to teaching and learning. He leveraged the knowledge gained in this program to refine his teaching and curricular practices in business.
As a tutor and curriculum developer, Doug is passionate about helping high school students reach their academic potential and achieve success in college and beyond. He is excited to work with CWP and help further its mission of empowering students to find their voice through the arts.
