Deepak Shrivastava is seasoned founder-operator with deep technology, early-stage growth, and tenured investment banking experience. He has a track record of multiple company acquisitions and venture-backed exits with extensive sector knowledge across SaaS, travel & hospitality, consumer goods and services, and healthcare / medical devices.
Currently, at Palo Alto-based AI Fund, Deepak leads a team of engineers, researchers, marketers and designers to concept, develop and launch AI and ML-driven solutions to tackle the housing space.
Previously, as CFO at The Flex Co. Deepak led cross-functional teams with an acute focus on enhancing profitability, expanding revenue distribution, and raising growth capital. Flex is the top-selling sustainable and green period care brand sold in 30,000 retailers across the United States. The LA Times recently recognized him as a finalist for their 2022 CFO Leadership Award for his operational excellence.
Prior to Flex, Deepak was named one of Business Insider’s Changemakers as Co-Founder of Porter & Sail and CEO of Hotel Credits, mobile app and ecommerce platforms offering best-in-class hotel booking services for luxury properties worldwide. Hotel Credits was awarded the 2021 US Hotel Booking Platform of the Year by Travel & Hospitality Awards. In the same year, Deepak facilitated successful sales of both companies.
Deepak began his career at Morgan Stanley, specializing in corporate finance and M&A, where for nearly a decade he covered gaming & casino hotels, financial sponsors, consumer products, travel and media companies, before shifting into the startup space as a founding team member of Dropbox’s B2B Enterprise and New York operations.
Deepak also serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors of Community-Word Project, a non-profit dedicated to funding, supporting and facilitating teaching arts programs in NYC public schools (of which he’s a proud alumnus!). In addition, Deepak coaches aspiring entrepreneurs through Oneday, a UK-based start-up mentoring platform.
