Colleen Lima

Colleen Lima is Vice President and Counsel, Regulatory Enforcement and Investigations in the Legal Department at BNY Mellon.  In this role, she conducts investigations into issues that pose significant regulatory, financial, or reputational risk to the company and represents the company in all stages of regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings.  Colleen began her career as an associate in the Litigation and White Collar Defense & Investigations practice groups at the law firm Arnold & Porter.  While at Arnold & Porter, Colleen maintained a robust pro bono practice, including working closely with Partnership for Educational Justice, a nonprofit organization pursuing educational equity through legal action to improve the quality of public schools.

As a former theatre kid, Colleen truly understands the ways in which exposure to the arts can transform a child’s life.  She was lucky enough to find her voice and confidence through the arts at a young age. She is thrilled to serve on the Board of CWP, an organization dedicated to arts in education and nurturing the young and creative minds of New York City.

Colleen is a native New Yorker and proud daughter of immigrants.  She graduated from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service with a BSFS and earned her JD from The George Washington University Law School.
