Camila Simão

Camila Simão is an LL.M. candidate at Columbia Law School and a law graduate from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, Brazil. She has worked at Finkelstein Advogados since 2016, focusing her practice on litigation and arbitration. In this role, Camila represented domestic and foreign clients in complex disputes, particularly foreign investors in securities arbitrations related to corruption schemes.

During Law School, Camila joined her university’s team for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. She was lucky to have had incredible professors and coaches that taught her how to successfully find her voice. Ever since then, she has worked so that other students could have the same experience. After graduating, she started mentoring her university’s team and became the president of the non-profit organization Brazilian Association for Students in Arbitration (ABEArb) for 2020-2021.

Camila joined CWP because she believes in the importance of helping students to discover their strength and their voices. Knowing the impact that literature and meaningful teaching has had in her formation and her ability to articulate herself, Camila is honored to contribute to an organization that stimulates expression and creative and critical thinking through multidisciplinary art programs.
