Autumn Tilson has been with Community-Word Project since 2012. She is an actor, singer, and educator. Having grown up in community arts programs in Savannah, Georgia, Autumn deeply believes in the transformative power of art and literature in children’s lives as well as the great capacity for using the arts as a vehicle for social change. She is passionate about making the arts accessible to children all over the country. Autumn has worked with children as an actor and teaching artist nationwide. During her tenure at CWP, Autumn has worked with both the Teaching Artist Project (TAP), of which she is an alum, and Youth Programs.
Autumn received her Masters of Music, Vocal Performance: Music Theatre from NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development and Bachelors of Art in both Theatre Arts and Music from Drew University. She also studied drama at the London Dramatic Academy and served as an acting apprentice at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. In her free time, Autumn currently sings with Essential Voices USA, which regularly performs with the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall as well as performing with various theatre groups in NYC and NJ.
