Amanda Dettmann is a poet and performer from Maine who’s taught writing to students and differently-abled adults all over the world, including Nicaragua and Italy.
She earned her MFA in Poetry from New York University and has received support from the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop. Her work can be found in her published poetry book Untranslatable Honeyed Bruises as well as the following literary journals: The Emerson Review, The Amistad, South Florida Poetry Journal, The Oakland Review, and The National Poetry Quarterly, among others.
As of now, she is crossing off her bookstore bucket list and calling Brooklyn her forever home of crazy stories and sprained subway ankles.
