Claire Torregiano is an international adoptee who was born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and raised in Rochester, New York. She grew up around teachers and books, which cultivated her love for the literary arts. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Creative Writing program at SUNY Purchase where she worked as Teaching Assistant for a first-year poetry course and served on the editorial board for the program’s literary magazine. After working as a SummerWrite coordinator at Writers & Books in the summer of 2022, she has returned to the Rochester Fringe Festival as a production assistant for the second year in a row. She is currently working on a novel that she began during her junior year of undergrad.
