Thank you to our generous community of friends and supporters for making Community-Word Project’s 14th Annual Benefit: Writing Our Future a huge success.
The benefit raised over $90,000 in support of our public-school arts residencies and our training program for teaching artists! These funds will help us continue to inspire more young people through the arts.
“I am so proud to lead the Board of Directors as we guide Community-Word Project in its growth and expansion. We are all
personally dedicated to CWP’s mission of inspiring children in NYC’s underserved communities to become active citizens as a result of our long-term arts residencies in schools and libraries.”
– Katherine Wolf, CWP Board Chair
Master of Cermonies Dion Graham (above left) was joined by Poet Aracelis Girmay (above right) and students of CWP’s art residencies for an evening of original performances in celebration of the voices and visions of NYC public school kids.
