Steering Committee | Director of Youth Education at Writers & Books
Sally is a writer, performer, and teaching artist who has been teaching creative writing and presenting her own work publicly for over 15 years. Her work has been published in various anthologies and journals, as well as on Poet’s Walk on University Avenue. She was in the 2016 cast of Listen to Your Mother, Rochester and is now on the production team. Sally promotes disability awareness through her writing (www.oscar-go.org) and speaking engagements, as she shares stories of raising her son who happens to drive a power wheelchair. Sally lives happily in Brighton with her husband and son, but occasionally longs to wander the Mojave Desert or the Pacific coast. She was a student in the very first Writers & Books youth class in the mid-1980’s and is thrilled to have come full circle, now planning these programs.
