Veronica Rowan is an educator, writer, and musician. She was raised in Los Angeles and now lives in Brooklyn. Veronica’s writing meditates on mundane wonder, bodily autonomy, transformations, healing from trauma, mortality, family, ecology, and power. Her teaching practices are informed by these themes as well. Prior to joining Community-Word Project, Veronica worked as a teaching artist with Writers in the Schools, then spent four years teaching middle school English, Creative Writing, World History, and Digital Civics. She holds a BA in Creative Writing from Oberlin College and a teaching credential from Loyola Marymount University.
