Bright Spot – PS 676

At PS 676, students have been learning about and creating their own motifs. One student is usually withdrawn, and often unengaged, though observant, during CWP sessions. On this day she was grouped with a friend to create a motif based on a winter poem. She not only contributed to creating the short poem, she got up and performed the movements in front of the class for the first time! This student has been gradually more of an active citizen in the past couple of weeks, and there’s a noticeable light of interest in her eyes. It will be good to observe how she develops and blossoms as a creative and critical thinker for the rest of the residency.
