Kadeem Gayle, Creative Writer
My Name is Kadeem Gayle. I am from Somerville Ma. I studied English and Communication at Adelphi University. I hold an MFA in Creative Writing. I am currently a Grad student at Drew University studying Medical Humanities.
TATIP Work
“In the TATIP Program, I am currently interning with P.S 132 in Washington Heights. I’m working with CWP Teaching Artists Elizabeth Leonard and Maria Schirmer in Ms. Estrada’s second grade class, teaching theatre and poetry. TATIP has helped me grow as a teacher. From my time in TATIP, I’ve learned a lot about what it means to be a teaching artist. It’s not just about teaching creativity, but also about building a community for children.”
