Isabella DeSendi is a Cuban-Italian poet from Florida residing in New York City. She is currently in the midst of completing her MFA in Poetry at Columbia University, where she has also had the privilege of teaching introductory writing courses through the Summer High School Program. Recently, Isabella was selected as a finalist for the 2017 June Jordan Fellowship, and Narrative's Ninth Annual Poetry Contest. Last year, she was awarded full tuition at the New York State Summer Writers Institute. Her poems have been published in Two Peach, The Ekphrastic Review, and The Grief Diaries.
