Alex Velozo is a sculptor, organizer, and writer from the South that gets to live and teach art to young people throughout New York. They received a BFA from Cooper Union and were most recently in the group show Expansion Foam at 67 Ludlow Gallery. Their work aims to use sight, naming, and recognition to destabilize itself often by translating between sculpture and poetry. They teach with Center for Arts Education, Community Word Project, SONYC, and PowerTools
