Alan L. Bounville is the founder of In Our Words Project, an interview-based theatre company in New York City. He sees his work with IOWP as a curator of people’s truth. With each production he focuses on a point of inquiry. But it is the stories of the people interviewed that guide him towards the final performance product.As a theatre educator, Alan facilitates spaces where community and ensemble building can take place. He facilitates theatre residencies on acting, directing, playwrighting, devised theatre, Theatre of the Oppressed, and interview theatre.Alan holds a Master's in Educational Theatre from New York University and travels across the country to universities, community groups, and conferences performing as a solo theatre artist, facilitating workshops, and lecturing on various theatre and social change related topics. www.alanbounville.com
