Patricia A. Chilsen ( email@example.com ) came to Community-Word Project in December, 2011 as Interim Assistant Program Director for School Partnerships. For three years she served as Assistant Program Director: Training + Evaluation. In July 2015, Patti became Program Director of Teaching Artist Training and Internships. It is a joy to facilitate TATIP. And it has been especially rewarding developing the TATIP Focus Group Cohort. Before coming to CWP she worked at Lincoln Center Institute for twelve years: from part-time to full-time theater teaching artist, and ultimately, three years as Program Manager for the Research Learning Community. Previously, Patti worked with the Theatre Development Fund as a teaching artist and taught learning disabled students at Denver Academy. Patti has been facilitating professional development for teaching artists and educators for over 18 years, from NYC, to Rochester, Cleveland, Michigan, Kansas and California, especially focusing on teaching for social justice. She holds an MFA from the National Theater Conservatory, with a teaching certificate. Besides a life in arts education, Patti has written, directed, and performed theater around the world: including Oregon, NYC, Wisconsin, Edinburgh and London.
