Megan Morrison ( firstname.lastname@example.org ) has been deeply engaged with the arts and arts education for as long as she can remember. She is a Los Angeles native who earned her BA in Theatre and Movement from UC Santa Cruz and carries a Master’s degree in Educational Theatre from New York University. Megan is incredibly passionate about the use of artistic techniques as a vehicle for cultivating educational environments which inspire social and global consciousness as well as personal transformation. Megan has been working in the non-profit arts education field for over ten years with extensive experience as a Teaching Artist as well as in program development and arts education management throughout Los Angeles, New York City and Philadelphia. She believes that dynamic artistic educational opportunities are crucial for building the creative, academic, communication and collaboration skills that individuals and communities need in order to thrive. She is also committed to her own personal artistic growth as she continues to pursue theatrical and dance opportunities here in New York City. Megan is thrilled as well as honored to be working in the role of Deputy Director for Programs and Operations for Community-Word Project, an organization whose mission and vision are so closely aligned with her own.
