Autumn Tilson has been with Community-Word Project since 2012. She began as the Teaching Artist Project (TAP) Administrator and is currently the Program Manager of School Partnerships. Autumn is a graduate of TAP. Autumn received her Masters of Music, Vocal Performance: Music Theatre from NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development and Bachelors of Art in both Theatre Arts and Music from Drew University. She currently sings with Essential Voices USA and has had the honor of singing with the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall multiple times as well as for special events such as the Macy’s Holiday Windows Unveiling and the Church of the Presidents in Washington, DC. She has worked with children as an actor and teaching artist nationwide, including two tours with Missoula Children’s Theatre, multiple years with the NJ Young Playwrights Festival and the New Plays for Young Audiences Festival, and in multiple camp settings. Some favorite past roles include Pennywise in Urinetown, Petronella van Daan in The Diary of Anne Frank, Summer in Wasteland the musical, Meg March in Little Women, and Glinda in The Wizard of Oz.
