Jason is a Vice President and Assistant General Counsel in the Legal Department at JPMorgan Chase & Co. He currently advises the Investment Bank on transactional and regulatory issues relating to the Securities Services business, and previously advised the Office of General Counsel on enterprise-wide legal and regulatory obligations. Prior to his work in the private sector, Jason worked in the U.S. House of Representatives leading congressional oversight of the U.S. financial sector for the Committee on Financial Services, and endeavoring to improve consumer financial protection, address the national homelessness crisis, and increase diversity in financial services. He holds a BS from Drexel University, and a MA and JD from Fordham University, where he has served as an adjunct professor of banking law. Jason enjoys volunteering with various organizations in the NY/NJ area and is an ambassador for the National Museum of African American History and Culture in DC. He is a first-generation American, from a Caribbean-American family, and lives in Brooklyn with his lovely wife and daughter who is a NYC public school student. Jason understands the positive impact that the arts and education can have on the lives of students, families, and communities; is honored to work with the teaching artists and staff; and is inspired by both the mission and achievements of the Community-Word Project.
