Gilbertson Cuffy is a Director of Digital Marketing for Mountain Dew at PepsiCo. Prior to joining PepsiCo he worked at Reckitt Benckiser in brand marketing roles on Lysol and Finish Dishwashing. He enjoys the challenge that comes with unlocking real solutions to consumer’s needs and then finding ways to communicate that solution back to them amidst a rapidly evolving media landscape. Gilbertson, was drawn to Community Word Project because of the use of poetry in the classroom to help students find their voice. As a Spoken Word artist growing up in his hometown of Miami he learned how to find his voice when competing in weekly poetry slam competitions. He understands that words have power and helping young voices find their own words would mean a lifetime of opportunity.
