ANDREW HO

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Andrew is the Senior Vice President, Technology and the head of Office Services for Global Strategy Group, an award-winning public affairs, communications, and research firm headquartered in New York City. In this dual capacity, he provides the firm with a combined IT and Office Services strategy that prioritizes the end-user and employee experience. He oversees the firm’s technology portfolio and manages the team that supports Global Strategy Group’s office locations. Andrew started his career as an IT consultant, but after a decade of near constant travel, he moved in-house and developed a track record for building technology teams from scratch for organizations that need them. This has resulted in him working in a very diverse range of industries including health insurance, electronics manufacturing, international NGO, and professional services. Through it all, Andrew has been a strong believer in providing all children with equal access to a well-rounded education that marries the arts with the sciences. Despite his strong technical background (he graduated with both a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute), Andrew credits his broad exposure to art, music, and literature as a child as being a key reason for his current success as a technologist and creative problem-solver. He also spent over five years as the head of IT for Teach For All, an international NGO focused on expanding educational opportunity. During his time there, he saw first-hand the significant impact that great teachers can have on students and their ability to change a child’s trajectory for the positive. He joined the board of Community-Word Project because he sees this organization as one that successfully combines these concepts. He is inspired by Community-Word Project’s highly trained teaching artists and their ability to make an impact on underserved children through the creative arts.
